Stern Singles Presents: Alec Eisenberg4 min read

Welcome back to another edition of Stern Singles. Just in time for Valentine’s day, I present you with February’s heart throb, Stern’s most eligible bachelor, Alec Eisenberg.

Sternie Testimonials:

Alec is a total catch and the complete package; all other guys should want him off the market so we can stop competing against him.

Lucky for me, where we collaborate we don’t need to compete. Let’s gas this man up.

If you’re ever having a bad day and need to be reminded to keep moving forward, Alec is your guy! He’s kind, reliable, and can talk about anything….no seriously ask him anything, he’s an open book. Oh and he’s got great hair!

That was equal parts sweet and broad. Much like Alec’s shoulders.

If you’re looking for someone who will always bring energy, humor, and an amazing GIF game, this is your guy.

They’re saying GIF game is this year’s emotional honesty.

Alec joined Stern in 2020 with a mission “to help build the future of venture capital through investing in strong founders seeking to change the world.” While easier said than done, Alec is making swift work of his core classes and looking to explore more elective affairs.

What brought you to Stern?

NYU is rooted in the best city in the world and I wanted to be around those that have the same drive to succeed as I do.

New York is less a melting pot than a casserole, crammed with distinct chinks of special all stewing in each other’s juices. Let’s mix you into the pot.

What’s keeping you here?

I have already met people I envision being in my life for the long haul.

Love that. What excited you most about coming to Stern?

The opportunities I would be afforded that previously felt unattainable.

Biggest surprise about the COVID Business School experience?

The friendships I have been able to build without meeting anyone in person.

…And what worried you most about starting grad school?

Would I ever get to go to class in person (still worried about that).

Yeah, that is concerning. What scares you?

Uncertainty of the future.

You know what they say about the future; it’s scary because something essential is shielded, ghosts of futures that haven’t happened yet, and they’re released in these tiny bursts over time. You’re not scared of what will happen, you’re scared of what won’t happen. It’s why existentialism exists.

Don’t be scared of what you don’t know, just ride the wave.

I’ll stop ranting. Favorite musician or band?

I love all music genres so I’ll list a few different ones. The Weeknd, Kane Brown, John Mayer, J Biebs, Machine Gun Kelly.

I think you just prophesized the next DJ Khaled single.

Favorite song to dance to?

Anything with a beat and I’ll dance. No favorites here.

Favorite karaoke song?

Beautiful Soul – Jesse McCartney.

WOW. I had my doubts but this redeems you entirely. I need to hear this. Corona back the heck off we’ve got songs to sing.

Do you cook?

I specialize in breakfast foods, so if you can handle dinner we’ll be golden.

Breakfast is the superior meal. I’ll go to the mat on this.

What do you want out of a relationship?

An equal partner who pushes me to be better than I was yesterday.

What are you looking for in a partner?

Someone who is driven, athletic, and has a good sense of humor.

Do you have any deal breakers in a partner?

If they don’t like dogs or root for the Red Sox (maybe I can look past this one).

What do you enjoy most about dating?

Being able to learn more about someone each time you’re with them.

Anything I haven’t asked you but I should?

I feel like my height is important to share. I’m 6’4, that seems to matter to some.

That’s definitely important. If you like breakfast and baseball and tall men with great hair, give Alec Eisenberg a shout. Happy Valentines day Sternies. Link up.
