Stern Singles Presents: Caitlin Wolfe7 min read

Meet Caitlin Wolfe, MBA student and TikTok personality. When I asked Caitlin to describe herself, she said, “I tend to be the loudest person in a room and the last person to leave a party. Part diva, part tomboy. COVID lockdowns kicked off my quarter life crisis so here I am getting my MBA! East Coaster, turned Midwesterner, turned back to an East Coaster.” It may be the best elevator pitch I’ve ever heard.

Sternie Testimonials:

“Caitlin is the life of any party she walks into, by bringing up the energy level and always finding a way to have the best time with both friends and strangers.”

Forget “good-time Charlie,” we have ourselves a good-time Caitlin!

“Caitlin is smart, funny and dynamic. Always looking for her next adventure. As an aspiring Bud Light ambassador, she’ll leave you with nothing less than a good time!”

Dream big, Caitlin! No need to lower yourself to Natty Light level.

Hey, hey Caitlin! Thank you for being our bachelorette this month. I promise I will go easy on you. Let’s start with the basics. What brought you to Stern?

Trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up (at the age of 30).

Aren’t we all. What’s keeping you here?

Again, trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up (at the age of 30).

I’m noticing a theme here. For the record, being 30+ is awesome. Or, at least that’s what I tell myself.

Nothing wrong with being 30! I think my 30s are going to be my best years yet – just strange to have lost the last years of my 20s to a global pandemic.

I definitely get that. I think you deserve a redo. What excited you most about coming here?

Learning new things, being intellectually challenged. Also getting out of the house for class…COVID lockdown problems.

I hear you. I never realized my apartment was as small as I did in the last 18 months. Did anything worry you about starting grad school?

Nope.

Love that confidence. Spoken like a boss. What’s been your favorite part about the program?

The amazing people I have met.

There are some decent people here. What was the best surprise about starting during the Corona Business School experience?

Being able to make friends via Zoom classes.

Love a little Zoom chatting. Although, words of wisdom: make sure the chat’s not reset to “Everyone” after breakout rooms. I learned that the hard way…a very hard way. How does it feel to be in person for classes now?

It feels great but strange being in person for classes – definitely like it much better but I had also gotten used to the ability to travel on a whim and do Zoom school from anywhere so it has been an adjustment.

What do you think makes you who you are?

I embrace who I am and don’t worry myself with what other people think of me.

I knew you were a boss. What excites you?

The beach, traveling to new places, meeting new people, most things related to Bravo TV/Real Housewives.

Okay, what scares you?

People who don’t like tacos and/or pizza.

Yeah. They’re weirdos. Favorite musician or band?

Megan Thee Stallion.

Another boss. Favorite song to dance to?

Walking on Broken Glass or Shout.

Yes and yes. Favorite karaoke song?

Lose Yourself by Eminem.

There is no way you can keep up with Em rapping! Now this, I’ll have to see in person. Favorite podcast?

Not applicable.

I don’t think anyone has ever said “not applicable” to me in an interview. Why don’t you like podcasts?

It’s not that I don’t like podcasts, I have just never gotten into them and I feel like I missed the boat and now it’s too late.

It’s never too late. That’s what I tell myself before I make every bad decision. Favorite book?

Anything by David Sedaris.

Do you cook?

Yes I love to cook, but prefer to do it for large groups.

I’m coming to the next dinner party. Any fun quarantine stories?

Picked up rollerblading.

Cool, cool. How do you spend your days?

Checking things off my to-do list, when I’m not scrolling TikTok/working.

Favorite date spot?

Anywhere with a great dirty martini.

A poorly made dirty martini is devastating. Describe your ideal first post-COVID date?

Anything that would involve INDOOR dining in the cold NY winter months.

Amen, sister. What are you looking forward to for the rest of this year/winter?

The rest of this year I have a ton of fun trips coming up! Chicago, Asheville, Turks & Caicos, Miami. Also looking forward to being with my family on Thanksgiving! Last year my dad had COVID so we didn’t celebrate.

Poor pop! Does the change of seasons make you feel more romantic?

Fall always makes me a bit nostalgic.

What do you want out of a relationship?

A person who can quote “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” with me.

What are you looking for in a partner?

Really, just someone to go to brunch with every weekend…also someone who pushes me to be my best self I guess.

Aren’t they the same thing? Do you have any deal breakers in a partner?

People who think Friends is the greatest show of all time.

Woah, woah, woah! I am not a massive Friends fan but I know people who would be outraged hearing that. What’s wrong with Friends?

Friends is just genuinely not funny. I have never even chuckled or smiled from watching. Just a bit corny for my taste.

I’m not going to instigate a fight by asking what you think of The Office. What do you find most challenging about dating?

The thing I find most challenging about dating, is dating itself.

A woman of many words. Tell us more.

I think I find dating challenging because I am in that weird place in life where half of my friends are married, have dogs, are getting pregnant….while the other half is still going out to bars and getting pizza at 4am on the way home…so I’m just finding where I fit in.

So real. I hear you. What do you enjoy most about dating?

It has taught me to be very patient and open-minded…there’s also some great laughs to be had about some of my worst first dates.

Yes! I love a good “worst date story.” Let’s hear it.

I found out they are anti-vaxxer and had a fake vaccine card.

OUCH. Is there anything you would like to tell your potential suitors?

I’m an acquired taste…if you dont like me, acquire some taste. Also, be warned, I am almost 6 feet tall.

Is there anything I haven’t asked you but should?

Yeah, about my TikTok…I can be somewhat entertaining when I want to be.

*stops everything she is doing* You have my attention. Go on. What type of content can we expect?

My TikTok is just a lot of me pretending I’m GenZ when I am quite clearly a millennial.

Caitlin Wolfe, ladies and gentlemen. Tall, confident, smart and beautiful! She is a force to be reckoned with. Catch her on campus, on Instagram: @caitlin_w0lfe and the handle you’ve been waiting for, on TikTok: @caitlinhasgivenup.
